Design tips for Christmas Patches
- • Embroidered patches suit classic motifs like wreaths and trees. Chenille's thick yarn makes raised, varsity-style letters, so it's best for initials and short words.
- • Woven patches hold finer detail than embroidery, so they're the better pick for snowflakes and small lettering. PVC gives ornament shapes a raised, 3D look.
- • Keep embroidered text at least 0.2 inches tall. Smaller lettering tends to blur, so use fewer, bigger words or ask us about woven.
- • Iron-on backing works for hoodies and stockings. Delicate knits like ugly sweaters can scorch under a hot iron, so choose sew-on backing for those.

FAQs
What kinds of Christmas patches can you make?+
We make custom Christmas and holiday patches in embroidered, woven, chenille, PVC, and sublimated styles. They work for company gift batches, church and school groups, ugly-sweater designs, and stocking stuffers. You choose the size and backing. We'll send a free digital proof before production starts.
When should I order Christmas patches to get them in time?+
Order as early as you can, because production alone takes 7-14 business days after you approve your proof. Add up the steps: 24-48 hours for your free digital proof, then production, then shipping time. Order-by dates depend on the patch type, so there's no single cutoff. Share your must-have-by date when you request your quote and we'll tell you if standard or rush production fits.
Is rush production available for Christmas patch orders?+
Yes, rush production is available on request. Mention it in your quote request, along with the date you need the patches by, so we can tell you whether it fits before production starts. Ask about rush pricing at the same time.
Is there a minimum order for custom Christmas patches?+
No, there's no minimum order. You can order a few patches for a family or team, or a large batch for a company or a whole congregation. Pricing depends on quantity, so tell us how many you need when you request a quote.
How much do custom Christmas patches cost?+
Price depends on patch type, size, quantity, and how detailed your design is. Send your artwork with the size, quantity, and backing you want, and we'll reply with exact pricing. Shipping is free worldwide, so there's no shipping charge on top of the quote.
Can I order one design for a whole group, or add a name to each patch?+
Yes, one design can cover the whole group, and that's the simplest way to order for staff or a congregation. If each person needs their own name, ask us about name patches when you request your quote. We'll confirm how that works before anything goes into production.
What are the best patch types for Christmas designs?+
Embroidered suits classic motifs like wreaths and trees, chenille suits bold varsity-style letters, woven suits fine detail like snowflakes, and PVC suits raised ornament shapes. If you're not sure, send your artwork and tell us the look you want.
Which backing should I choose for sweaters, stockings, hoodies, and keepsakes?+
Iron-on backing is the easy choice for hoodies and stockings, while sew-on suits keepsakes and anything you want to last. For ugly sweaters, choose sew-on, because delicate knits can scorch under a hot iron. If you'd rather move one patch between items, ask for hook-and-loop backing.
Are there design limits, like small text or gradients?+
Yes, the main limit is small text. Embroidered lettering under about 0.2 inches tall tends to blur, so keep it larger or ask us about woven. Chenille needs even bigger letters because its yarn loops are thick. Embroidery also can't blend colors into a gradient, so ask about sublimated patches for shaded artwork. Metallic thread is available on some patch types for accents, so ask about it when you request your quote.
Do you make patches for Hanukkah, New Year, or other holidays?+
Yes, we make custom patches for any holiday or winter event, from Hanukkah and New Year's to office parties and school concerts. Patch types and backing options are the same as for Christmas orders. There's still no minimum order. Include your artwork and the date you need them by in your quote request.
Can you make patches of licensed or trademarked characters?+
No, we only make patches from original designs, so we can't reproduce trademarked or licensed characters. Your own artwork is fine, like a company logo or an original snowman drawing. Send it over and we'll turn it into a free digital proof. You approve it before anything is made.
Do I get a free proof before my Christmas patches are made?+
Yes, every order includes a free digital proof to review before production starts. It arrives in 24-48 hours. Nothing is made until you approve it, and the 7-14 business days of production count from that approval. A quick reply helps if you're working against a deadline.
Is there a guarantee on custom Christmas patches?+
Yes, custom Christmas patches come with our 14-day guarantee. If a patch is defective or doesn't match the proof you approved, we'll remake and reship it, or refund you. You also approve a free digital proof before production starts, so you've seen what we'll make. We've worked with 1,000+ customers.
